Fingers Chasing You

Fingers Chasing You

- Jerusha Patel

I'd rarely enjoy movies,

Look where I'm at now

A cinema hall, next to you

or somewhere in the clouds

Your passion's contagious

But movies have never been my muse

We're different like tea and fondue

Yet art unites us two

We're never late for a movie,

You have a record to pursue

I would only run a kilometre

if my fingers are chasing you

Well, this film's a comedy,

boxing is your favourite story

You've fixed your glance,

but look to see when I laugh

Where are the rules that you once set?

Your broken kisses seem to forget

I'm cold and my finger's up your sleeve,

You look back to ask if I'm asleep

2 hours aren't enough,

I have an evening planned for us

I'm just finding excuses to stay

My assignments not done today

It's the end of the movie

ours is yet my favourite story

Your hero is on screen,

and mine's next to me
